About AutoCounsel

AutoCounsel is a team of Florida Bar–licensed litigators with 50+ years of combined experience standing up to insurance companies—especially when a driver is accused of being at fault. We know the playbook: rushed recorded statements, broad medical authorizations, “reservation of rights” letters, and lowball offers designed to shift blame and limit payouts. From day one, we step in as your independent counsel to prepare you for every conversation, review every document, and push back on tactics that put your rights and wallet at risk.

When a lawsuit lands after a crash, we protect you—not your insurer. We make sure the carrier honors its duty to defend and indemnify, and we keep the defense strategy focused on your best interests. Our attorneys monitor the case, coordinate with insurer-appointed defense counsel, challenge improper coverage positions, and prepare you for depositions, mediations, and trial. The goal is simple: safeguard your personal assets, enforce your policy protections, and position your case for the fairest possible outcome under Florida law.

With AutoCounsel, you gain independent legal oversight and a relentless advocate who evens the playing field. Our decades in Florida motor-vehicle liability and insurance practice translate into clear guidance, firm advocacy, and accountability for the companies across the table. It’s experienced counsel on your side—so you’re treated fairly, heard clearly, and protected at every step.

Todd Stabinski

Todd Stabinski

is a seasoned trial lawyer and co-founder of AutoCounsel. A member of The Florida Bar since 1997, Todd earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University and his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan. Todd is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by The Florida Bar – a distinction held by fewer than 2% of Florida attorneys, signifying the highest level of evaluation of a lawyer’s competency, professionalism, and ethics in trial practice. For more than 25 years, Todd has built his career representing individuals injured due to negligence, with a focus on motor vehicle accident cases. This work has given him a deep understanding of how personal injury attorneys approach claims. In addition, much of his practice has involved insurance litigation, allowing him to see firsthand how insurance companies operate when defending claims. This rare combination of experience on both sides of the courtroom gives Todd unique insight into how to protect people’s rights when they are being sued after a car accident. Through AutoCounsel, Todd leverages his knowledge to help drivers secure independent legal oversight, ensuring they receive fair treatment and strong advocacy.
