AutoCounsel Membership Cancellation Policy
1. Subscription and Auto-Renewal Disclosure
By completing your purchase, you agree to enroll in a recurring subscription that automatically renews until canceled.
Your AutoCounsel membership will automatically renew on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you selected, unless and until you cancel your membership.
Your payment method will be charged automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle.
You may cancel at any time through your member portal or by contacting: info@autocounsel.law.
All payments are non-refundable, except as expressly stated in this policy.
2. Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your membership at any time, for any reason, with no questions asked.
Cancellation is effective immediately upon processing.
Upon cancellation:
- Your access to membership benefits will terminate immediately.
- You will not retain access through the remainder of the billing period.
- No prorated refunds will be issued for unused time.
There is no minimum commitment and no notice period required, including same-day cancellations, even on the renewal date.
3. How to Cancel
You may cancel your membership using one of the following methods:
Option 1: Member Portal
Log into your AutoCounsel member portal and follow the cancellation instructions.
Option 2: Email Request
Send an email to info@autocounsel.law with the subject line:
Membership Cancellation
Your email must include:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
Cancellation requests submitted by email may take up to 48 hours to process.
4. Primary Account Holder Requirement for Household Plans
For household memberships:
- There is one primary account holder.
- Only the primary account holder may request cancellation.
- When a household membership is canceled, all associated household members will be canceled at the same time.
If the primary account holder is deceased, a household member may request cancellation by emailing info@autocounsel.law and providing appropriate documentation, such as a death certificate.
5. No Refund Policy
All payments are final and non-refundable.
This means:
- No prorated refunds will be issued.
- No refunds will be provided for unused time.
- This applies to both monthly and annual plans.
Limited Exceptions
Refunds may be issued only in the following cases:
- Verified fraudulent charges
- Duplicate billing errors
All refund determinations are made at the sole discretion of AutoCounsel.
6. Annual Plans
Annual memberships are billed upfront for the full year.
- You may cancel an annual membership at any time.
- Cancellation is effective immediately upon processing.
- No refunds or prorated amounts will be issued for unused time remaining in the annual billing period.
7. Failed Payments
If a recurring payment fails:
- You may be notified by email and/or SMS.
- You will have 48 hours to update your payment method and complete payment.
If payment is not successfully completed within that timeframe, your membership may be automatically terminated.
8. Reactivation
If you cancel your membership, you may rejoin at any time by purchasing a new plan.
Canceled memberships do not resume where they left off.
Repurchase will be treated as a new membership, and you may be required to resubmit documentation, including driver’s license and insurance information.
9. California Auto-Renewal Compliance
For customers residing in California:
- This subscription will automatically renew unless canceled.
- You may cancel at any time using the methods described in this policy.
- No additional charges will occur after cancellation is processed.
